Hey 8th Grade! Do you love to sing or play an instrument? Are you looking to take your talent to the next level while being part of an awesome, creative community? Join the AHS Music Department!

Mrs. Korneffel’s 6th graders have been working on color wheel symmetrical designs, and today they used natural light as a light table by holding their papers up to the window to clearly see their lines and shapes, helping them align their symmetry and improve their understanding of color relationships.

✨ Career Presenter Day Spotlight! ✨ Today our 7th and 8th graders had the incredible opportunity to learn from three amazing Occupational Therapists — Ms. McLernon, Ms. Higgins, and Mr. McKenna! They shared what OT is all about, how they help people build independence, and the many paths students can take in this rewarding career. Our kids asked thoughtful questions and walked away inspired! A huge thank you to our presenters for giving their time, energy, and expertise to our students. 💙💚

Fifth grade traveled back in time today! As part of their Wild West study, they read about pioneers heading west and how they baked hardtack bread and made butter. Naturally, they wanted to try it for themselves to experience what early settlers endured. They certainly won’t forget this hands-on adventure — they brought history to life! 🧈✨

No School tomorrow, November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day.

Mrs. RZ's 5th graders explored the Chemical Magic unit today, combining different substances to observe real chemical reactions! 🧪✨ Their curiosity and excitement made for an engaging day of hands-on science discovery.

Our students had the wonderful opportunity to hear inspiring stories and words of wisdom from local veterans who have bravely served our country. It was a special morning filled with gratitude, learning, and connection...and a perfect reminder of the importance of honoring those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Thank you to all who served, and to everyone who helped make this celebration so meaningful. ❤️🤍💙
