Brennan Families,

There is one spot left for a parent volunteer for Brennan’s School Council. The School Council must meet a minimum of five times a year and serves in an advisory capacity to building administrators and helps develop the School Improvement Plan. If you are interested please contact me at joboyle@attleboroschools.com.

Thank you to all the families who donated to the Mayor’s Food Drive. Student Council will be extending the drive until December 13th.

Today students learned about opportunities in inclusion. Best Buddies is an after school social club for students of all abilities that meets every other Tuesday.  The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 28.  Email Kbranagan@attleboroschools.com for the application if interested in joining.

Special Olympics provides sports year-round for athletes and their general education peers.  Our next season for basketball starts Tuesday, November 28.  Practice will be held at Willett Elementary school gym 5-6pm for students under 16 and 6-7pm for students 16 and older.  This is a great way to complete any community service hours you may need.

Here is a link to the application for unified partners (general education peers).

Here is the link for any athletes interested in participating.

If you have any questions about becoming involved with Special Olympics, please contact Caron Heller @ caronheller@comcast.net.

With next week only having two school days the next Brennan Family Update will be on December 1st.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Kindly,

Julie O’Boyle
