Brennan Families,
We just completed our first full week of the school year! It is wonderful to see the students smiling and engaged in their classes.
Back to School Night is Thursday, September 21st from 6:00-8:00 PM. We look forward to seeing all of you!
Families of students with last names starting with A-M are asked to come at 6:00 and those with last names starting with N-Z come at 7:00.
Families will be able to meet all of their student’s teachers. Please keep in mind that this is a time for you to receive information about classes. If you have specific concerns about your child please schedule a future time to speak with the teachers.
Each session will begin in the cafeteria with a welcome from the administrative team.
Brennan’s chorus will be performing in the main lobby at 6:30 and 7:30.
Be sure to stop by BOP’s (Brennan Organization of Parents) table to find out how you can help support our students and purchase Brennan Spirit Wear.
BOP has also arranged a fundraiser at Bliss Brothers for Thursday. Mention Brennan to your server and we will receive 20% of the proceeds. This fundraiser will run all day.
Grade 5 Families - We are still awaiting the arrival of new ID badges. If your child still has their ID from elementary school, please have them bring it in to help speed up the lunch line. Thank you!
Car Pick Up Families - It has been brought to our attention that when families come early to pick up their children at dismissal, some cars are lining up on Drummond St. and the turn onto Rathbun Willard Drive. This is blocking the flow of traffic at the rotary and is preventing buses from picking up students at the high school on time. We kindly ask that you refrain from lining up on Drummond St. and keep the rotary open for buses.
For safety reasons, during Car Pick Up students should only be entering vehicles from the sidewalk area with the trees, not in the parking lot. Please be sure to pull up as far as possible to allow other vehicles in.
Have a wonderful weekend - let’s hope Hurricane Lee’s wind and rain stays out to sea!
Kind regards,
Julie O’Boyle
