Assistant Principal Mrs. Patricia Knox

Mrs. Knox has been working with the Attleboro school district for 29 years. She graduated from Bridgewater State College and earned her M.E.D. She also graduated from the University of Hartford with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. She wanted  to work in a school setting  because she wanted to motivate and encourage students to learn academics  in a positive way.

The best part about her job is seeing the smiles on the faces of the Brennan students everyday. Her special interests include baseball, football, track, volleyball, walking, swimming, tennis, reading, and cooking.

Brennan houses 627 students in grades 5 through 8. The staff is comprised of 40 teachers and 7 instructional learning assistants. The building contains state of the art computer networking and equipment, 42 classrooms, gymnasium, cafetorium, health office, music room, art room, adjustment counselor offices, library/media center, and administrative suite.  The building opened to faculty and students May 18, 1997.

Language arts, math , social science, and science are taught by a team of teachers in a two year assignment, We offer integrated art, music, band, physical education, writing lab, Spanish, French and the CMP math program. Both algebra I and geometry courses are offered at Brennan.

An extensive before and after-school enrichment program is available to our students.  Offerings include drama, weight training and personal fitness, intramurals, art in math, soccer, cooking for fun, chorus, chess club, and The Brennan Magazine.

Brennan has pioneered looping with two-year assignments. Teams of teachers and students stay together for two years. There are inclusion teams in each grade level.

We have an extensive partnership with Texas Instruments located in Attleboro, which highlights a mentorship program for students in grades 7 & 8, as well as an Amigos Program with Bishop Feehan High School to aid Spanish students.
